YOUR DISH SOAP | OUR PLANET

*jar not included

Plastic-free dish soap? Say it ain't so!  etee's team of innovators have created a wax based pod that holds our concentrated dish soap so that you can wave goodbye to the plastic dish soap bottles in the grocery aisle - see ya later!

Each biodegradable pod holds our all-natural, bio-based concentrated dish soap and is made with 100% plant-based ingredients. Free from SLS, Phthalates, Sulphites, Sulphates, Synthetics, Colourants and Fragrance. Packaged in our one of a kind, backyard compostable Beepods (tm)!

Each soap pod makes 400 ml / 13.5 oz of dish soap.

These plastic-free pods are handmade in our Toronto area shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also free to goof it up from time to time. We kept it local with getting someone in the Toronto area to formulate our dish soap concentrate, too!

How to Make Your Plastic-Free Dish Soap

Simply fill a dispenser or jar with 375 ml (12.7 oz) of water. Rip open your pod of concentrated dish soap over the jar and squeeze the soap into the water. Stir the mixture, cover with a lid or cap and give the dispenser a good shake. Let it sit for an hour before first use. Dispose the pod in the compost or garbage (rest assured it'll biodegrade in either). Squirt some soap into your sink of water or onto a dish cloth and clean those dishes like a pro. Rinse any soap from your dishes using hot water and for best results dry them with a clean cloth after you're done.

INGREDIENTS

alcohol ethoxylate (plant-derived grease-cutting agent), polyglucoside (plant-derived cleaning agent), amine oxide (plant-derived cleaning agent), hydroxyethylcellulose (plant-derived viscosity modifier)

Quite effective, but has an ammonia-like smell

This soap suds up remarkably well and cleans effectively, though you seem to need a little more than with other commercial dish detergents. I’m bothered by the smell of the unscented soap, however, which reminds me of ammonia. My husband even found the fumes irritating to his eyes when doing dishes. I wanted to like this more, but will probably use up what I have and then try something different.

Hey Laura,

Thank you for reaching out & I am sorry to hear about your dish soap. This is not normal & I would recommend sending the pods back to us & we will reship you new pods. We work with suppliers who work very hard to quality check their products, and we do our own quality checks in house, however things happen. I will contact you directly & we can discuss next steps :)

Haven't tried it yet but it was leaking everywhere

Won't purchase again because the soap was leaking out everywhere upon delivery

Why only one tube?

I have bought your dish soap before and was sent a box with three wax tubes. This time there was only one. This makes me reluctant to re order. What happened? Did your formula change? I could see no such information on the box.

Hey Kenneth,

Thank you for leaving your review & I am sorry to hear about your order. Our soaps & cleaners are sold in 3 packs, this sounds like you may have been shorted some pods during the fulfillment process. I apologize for that, please contact our customer service team at info@shopetee.com & they will look into this for you :)

Doing the right thing

No suds and thin liquid took some getting used to. But the product is a thorough and mild cleaner and the wax pod goes right into my compost when I’ve rinsed it well and the boxes go into the recycling. I use it for hand soap as well as dish soap. Simplifies my life!
